Bishop of Pune to inaugurate CCI New Pentecost Ecology Event



As part of the CCI international plan to observe New Pentecost 2018 with the theme 'Ecology', Cardijn Community India (CCI) is organising the Symposium in Pune.
 
A detailed study of  Pope Francis's encyclical on environment,  'Laudato Si' with detailed explanation by Fr. Rayappa Kasi, renowned Ecologist is planned for Pentecost Sunday, May 20 this year.


Bishop Thomas Dabre, Bishop of Pune will inaugurate the one day Ecological Symposium with the theme "Let's care for our common home".
 
It is to be noted that CCI from its inception has declared 'harmony between humanity and nature' as one of its mission goals and has been promoting 'ecological education'.
 
The symposium is open to all the people of Pune irrespective of their faith.
 
Members of Pune chapter of Cardijn Community India are working towards making this a landmark event in Pune.
 
We expect all lay organisations in Pune to extend their solidarity to this event.
 
All nature lovers, environmentalists and ecologists in and around Pune are requested to partner with CCI Pune in this endeavour to sensitise the people of Pune on the need to protect creation.
 
 

See-Judge-Act method is Cardijn's gift to the Church, says Bishop Nazarene Susai



"See Judge Act methodology is a great gift of Cardijn to the Church" said Bishop Nazarene Susai while inaugurating the Training Program on Review of Life organised by Cardijn Community India (CCI) at Nagercoil on 2nd March 2018.
 
Addressing the trainees and CCI leaders, Bishop Nazarene Susai, Bishop of Kottar Diocese narrated the life of Cardijn and stressed on the spirituality of Cardijn which is the need of the hour.
 
Father Augustin Ponnian, former IYCW international chaplain expressed his happiness on the efforts of CCI to promote the review of life process through See Judge Act.
 
The 3 day intensive training course on ROL was held from 3rd to 5th March 2018 at Nagercoil.
 
34 participants from different parts of India representing YCS, YCW, CWM, CCI and ICYM took part in the training which started with a field study to fisher folk village, cashew factory, rubber estate and urban reality to SEE the reality in various sectors.
 
Rev. Dr. X. D. Selvaraj, Theologian presented an analysis of the socio, economic, political and cultural reality within the context of the training module which was adopted.
 
Ruben Joseph, CCI international coordinator who was the trainer, presented elaborately different components of SEE JUDGE ACT, Review of Life and Evaluation with practical inputs for each component and easy to understand ways of adhering the method.
 
The participants felt that the training was an eye opener for them which would help in their day to day commitment.
 
They also felt that the Cardijn movements in India should come together to launch common actions and campaigns and urged Cardijn Community India (CCI) to spearhead the move.
